I served on the British submarine Rorqual in the late 60s and we berthed alongside the Grapple in Subic Bay. The crew were in my opinion the best there were, they were down to earth and great company to be with and drink with in Olongopo?
As time and wine has eroded the brain, I can only remember one crewman who came from Pasadena who drove a school bus on Pearl.
These men were a credit to their ship and I hope like me, are in good health.
